Message Where you found it (ebay etc.)?

I was with my little sister in Atlanta looking for a Maxima. I saw an old charcoal 300ZX sitting on a Mitsubishi lot. I was a diehard GM man who was tired of all the crappy cars that GM was putting out and was boycotting anything made the the UAW. I was driving a 1990 240sx, which I thought was an excellent roadcar. However, I used to race around the 285 loop around Atlanta and the 240 topped out at 119 mph. That was not good enough.

So I saw the Z at the dealership and test drove it. It hit 148 MPH. The salesman had his feet on the dash screaming, "If you get a ticket, you're paying for it!!!" I bought the car for $8k back in 2000.

How long you were looking?t

I wasnt

How far away was it?

120 miles from the house.
The test drive..

In 1990, I was a chauffer for a guy that ran 8 hotels around the country. He bought a brand spanking new red TT and I got to keep the car for a weekend. Back then hotrod guys would build these old groundpounders for the 8th mile or 4th mile. So the turbo Z was the first car that I had ever driven that would run happily at 150 mph. So I was surprised when an NA would rip to 148.
The car felt so solid too. It felt rich.
Your First drive =)

120 miles back to Chattanooga. The car had 80k on it and was only 6 yrs old at the time. I have been everywhere in this car. It has been an excellent roadcar.

Copied in Hell
